New In // Pile of Goodies

Work. Study. Eat. Sleep. In pretty much that order. My week has been pure madness, hence the week-long blogging hiatus. Fortunately I had this morning off to treat myself to a little shopping, as well as get in this post. Latest outfit post will be up soon :) Meanwhile, here are some of the goodies I've gotten in the last 24 hours:

Steve Madden Leopard Print Loafers (similar pair
here)

Aqua cropped skinnies (here) + Boyfriend Jeans (here), both from the Gap

Cropped denim jacket from H&M

Last but not least, my May Glossybox (this will be my last, as I cancelled my subscription). Late again, but otherwise pretty perfect. Every single product was something I was on the verge of running out of myself, so this really came in handy.

- Simple Eye Make-up Remover
- Simple Facial Wash Gel
- Sebastian Volupt Shampoo
- Curel Foot Therapy
- Boxx Cream Concealer

I'd also like to say thanks for all the comments in my absence! You can absolutely expect responses to each of them over the next couple of days. Hope you've all had a fantastic weekend! :)

Summer Wish List + Blog Award

Summer Wishlist items

Happy first of June! I haven't been shopping in approximately a month (this is border-line unheard of). So while I can't show you an outfit full of shiny new things, I can show you what I'm plotting for this Summer. I had quite a bit of fun compiling this set on Polyvore. With these items alone I could create about 20 different outfits (hence why things are organized a little haphazardly) - the sign of good investment pieces!

The first items entering my wardrobe will most likely be the versatile staples: leopard print loafers, boyfriend jeans, & a lace/crochet dress (how beautiful is the Alice+Olivia one above?!). Apart from that a bit of neon here, a bit of fringe there.... and of course prints permeating every piece possible! Tragically the Missoni ruffled swimsuit & Acne blue pistol boots are sold out at the moment, but I'm optimistic about finding something similar.

What pieces are you craving most this Summer?

On one last note: Darling Sapana of Dreamy Sapna chose me for the 'Your blog is great' award last week! A huge thank you to her - it's so nice to be recognized for something I love doing! And to share the love, I'll be passing the award along to 5 blogs I've really enjoyed lately:

Have a great weekend everyone! <3

Kaleidoscope

1. Spike the Punch Rainey necklace + Banana Republic Denim Button-down. Perfect amount of glitz for a casual day! As soon as I go through the photos, I'll post the full outfit :)

2. I felt like a 12 year old, guiltily buying this copy of Teen Vogue. But hey I had to - Andy, Chiara, & Carolina were featured, so I had to take notice. I adore their Werelse line for Mango; only wish it were available in Canada!

3. Also just picked up this new nail polish & love it to pieces. It's 610 Lily by Revlon. The colour & coverage are both fantastic. I definitely foresee it being my go-to polish for the summer. Though I still need to find the perfect mint colour. What nail colours are you favouring at the moment?

4. Most of you know I have a penchant for bright statement pieces. Same goes for my running gear... so when I saw this pair of fluorescent running shoes I just had to have them. This picture does no justice to the colour; they're honestly so bright I do a double-take every time I scan over them in my closet haha

Have yourself a fabulous weekend! <3

Blue Eyed Soul

At long last, an outfit post for this week! This was the outfit I wore yesterday, though bundled below my Zara jacket. The denim top was my very first Banana Republic purchase, & such a versatile piece! Work wear, casual wear, party wear... I've used it for just about everything. And I just love it paired with a collar/bib necklace, like this one from Forever 21. The House of Holland suspender tights help jazz up the outfit & give a little contrast to the tiered black skirt. And then of course, my fluorescent pink satchel from Cambridge Satchel Company (last seen here). It's undeniably (& unapologetically) bright, but it has really grown on me since I got it from my birthday over the summer. It definitely adds that perfect pop of colour in this case :)

I was wearing:
Denim shirt - Banana Republic
Black tiered skirt - Aritzia (old)
Suspender tights - House of Holland
Pink fluorescent satchel - Cambridge Satchel Company
Military-style coat - Zara
Collar necklace - Forever 21
Paloma wedges - Dolce Vita

To be honest I ended up spending all of 10 minutes editing these, but hopefully you enjoy them regardless! I was back to work today, with another string of 5 days in a row to look forward to. Although I haven't been anywhere near my usual over-the-top festive self, my Christmas-mania is beginning to kick in little by little. I'll be off to Ottawa soon for 2 weeks, which should be a nice change of scenery! Fingers crossed for snow :)

Thank you so much for reading & hope you have a wonderful day! <3

Baby you'll freeze out there

Here is a sneak peek of my newest 'Look of the Day' shoot! We may have been a little over-zealous & taken 700+ shots, so hopefully by tomorrow I'll have them sorted & edited to share with you :) In reference to the title of this post - today was freezing! I was obviously bundled in my toasty Zara coat for the most part, but the coat-less shots literally turned my hands blue. I was pretty thankful upon returning home to Chinese take-out & some festive movie-watching.

And with my head chock full of Christmas carols I thought I'd share some recent pictures of Vancouver all lit up for the holidays! A co-worker of mine brought me on a very thorough driving tour of the city last night, & I have to admit this is one beautiful place. He showed me so many places that had previously been beyond my walking capacity & I'm so glad to have discovered them! There will definitely be more exploring in the near future :)

Oh so Christmasy! The outdoor skating rink, on my way home from work a few days ago.

Last seen here, by day.
A Christmas ballerina inside the Pacific Centre
Christmas trees inside the Pacific Centre.
And last but not least - the Lions Gate Bridge last night, viewed from Stanley Park.

Is your city all decked out for the holidays? :)
