Pink & Florals

Good morning everyone! This will be a fairly quick post just to share this little leftover Valentine's Day look: what I wore to work yesterday/on a pre-work wander. It's girly, it's pink, it's matchy matchy. Admittedly I tend to get in those modes during holiday occasions. Humorously enough I'm pretty sure I was the only one wearing pink out & about, & certainly the only one at work. Is it really just me who likes to colour coordinate with holidays?

Other than the obvious excessive use of pink I really liked this outfit; I'm a huge fan of high-waisted pants & I really liked these paired with the vintage pink belt. The ditsy floral top is a bit of an oldie... purchased in Dublin in 2010. I don't wear it very often so I was glad to incorporate it in my Valentine's Day look. As for the Cambridge Satchel, it really is a head-turner. I've yet to go somewhere without having people stop me to pass a comment. It's such a vibrant, fun piece :)

What did you wear this Valentine's Day?

I was wearing:
High-waisted pants - American Apparel (here)
Ditsy Floral top - Zara (old)
Neon pink satchel - Cambridge Satchel Company
Gold Chronograph Watch - Michael Kors (here)
Loafers - Michael Kors
Pink belt - vintage

Baby you'll freeze out there

Here is a sneak peek of my newest 'Look of the Day' shoot! We may have been a little over-zealous & taken 700+ shots, so hopefully by tomorrow I'll have them sorted & edited to share with you :) In reference to the title of this post - today was freezing! I was obviously bundled in my toasty Zara coat for the most part, but the coat-less shots literally turned my hands blue. I was pretty thankful upon returning home to Chinese take-out & some festive movie-watching.

And with my head chock full of Christmas carols I thought I'd share some recent pictures of Vancouver all lit up for the holidays! A co-worker of mine brought me on a very thorough driving tour of the city last night, & I have to admit this is one beautiful place. He showed me so many places that had previously been beyond my walking capacity & I'm so glad to have discovered them! There will definitely be more exploring in the near future :)

Oh so Christmasy! The outdoor skating rink, on my way home from work a few days ago.

Last seen here, by day.
A Christmas ballerina inside the Pacific Centre
Christmas trees inside the Pacific Centre.
And last but not least - the Lions Gate Bridge last night, viewed from Stanley Park.

Is your city all decked out for the holidays? :)
