Facebook + Blog Design

Okay fabulous followers, I've got a new way for you to show your support! I've just created a Facebook page for the blog. I'll be posting blog updates there as well as other links & lovely random bits that don't make it here. You can like it here (there's now a tab in the sidebar as well). I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate your support! So a huge thanks in advance ;)

On which note: If you've been following me up until this point you will have noticed that I've finally implemented some long over-due design changes to make the page a little easier to navigate. A huge thanks to Sue of As It Seems Designs for all the work she put into creating this look & the endless emails back & forth! Like any website it's a work in progress. To make sure things are perfect as possible for you lovely readers I would appreciate any feedback or constructive criticisms you may have! :)

Last but not least, a few words on the look above: This is a typical errand-running outfit for me. It's pretty much a jumble of my favourite & most comfortable pieces thrown together. On the rare occasion that I wear jeans I like to pair them with heels to dress them up & throw some brights or prints into the mix. This particular day I chose the brightest of bright bags, my fluro pink Cambridge satchel; & added a touch of glitz with my beloved Spike the Punch necklace! How do you jazz up your errand-wear?

I was wearing:
Turquoise Batwing top - Piko1988, via Nastygal
Dark legging jeans - Banana Republic
Pink fluro bag - Cambridge Satchel Company (here)
Rainey necklace - Spike the Punch
Pointy-toed heels - Spring (old)
Wayfarers - Ray Ban

LOOKBOOK: Strangeness & Charm

Hello dears!

My apologies for not getting my posts up yesterday as promised - I had completely forgotten it was Remembrance Day the night before. The minute I woke up I jumped out of bed, got ready rather too quickly & headed to the city centre to meet a friend for the Vancouver RD ceremony. From there I had a rather productive morning (errands) & an equally unproductive evening (christmas movies, catching up on blogs, & eating a delicious feast of which I cooked not a morsel).

My 'Look of the Day' for November 10th is now posted on Lookbook. Please hype if you like it! :)

Hoping to get in another photoshoot today, as well as the afore-promised purchase post! Hope everyone out there is having a fantastic weekend :)

All Hallow's Eve

It's still quite early in the morning here and the city is so lovely and quiet. The fact that the sun is shining after countless grey days is also lifting my spirits! I'm off work today as well; so really looking forward to some sort of fun adventure :)

These pictures were taken on Saturday, when I had my 'day of Halloween fun' - I love this outfit because it's comfy, stylish & festive without being over the top. And surprisingly enough, I actually didn't freeze to death wearing this sheer lace top outside while these photos were taken (though I did wear my favourite Zara coat later, to run errands).

A few things about the outfit - absolutely love this lace tee I got from American Apparel ages ago. It is super versatile & can be paired with just about anything. The pleated skirt is something I recently ordered online from Forever 21, & even though it is size XS it is ridiculously too big & will only stay up with a belt (hence the medallion belt). I had intended to return it but they apparently only do online returns via return mail & not at local stores (fail). Continuing on.... the white bandeau was an oversight on my part; I didn't realize how much it stood out until afterwards when I saw the pictures on my computer. In retrospect I should have gone for a black one instead of just grabbing the first one in arms reach. And finally the Michael Kors items - one of my favourite designers, I absolutely love getting new MK pieces. The gold chronograph watch has been one of my favourite accessories for over a year now; the black MK loafers are a newer addition to my wardrobe and I must say I absolutely adore them! Super comfortable and cute. And that is that!

This little critter watched our photoshoot from quite near - but when the camera turned on him, he went on the run!

I was wearing:
Lace tee - American Apparel
Pumpkin pleat skirt - Forever 21
Belt - Sale bin somewhere in Ireland I can't recall...
Black loafers - Michael Kors
Gold Chronograph Watch - Michael Kors
White Bandeau - Garage

Now I'm off to start my day and get a little more in the festive spirit. Hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween!
